Stillwater homes built 1950-2002 pair older track hardware with severe cold winters. Here's what actually knocks a door off its rails and what to check first.

A door goes off track when the rollers stop riding inside the vertical or horizontal rail the way they're supposed to. Sometimes it's one roller popped loose at a bent spot. Sometimes the whole panel has walked sideways and is binding against the track edge. Either way, the door won't move right, or it'll move partway and stop hard.
